Splendidly constructed public transportation
Stuttgart has a regional rapid transit system called the S-Bahn. In addition, Stuttgart has tram lines which mainly connect to densely populated areas in the city which are called U-Bahn. A well developed bus network serves the city efficiently.

There are six S-Bahn lines numbered from S-1 to S-6 and ten U-Bahn lines numbered U1 to U9 and additional old Nr15. There is a widely spread network covering the whole city with several bus lines, tram and taxis. Most lines go through the Hauptbahnhof(Main Station), ending in a layout that is pretty centralistic. So, starting at the Hauptbahnhof, it is possible to reach any point of the region.
